As soon as our eyes opened,we woke up in the fresh air of the untouched paradise.
The second day blossomed.
Our first destination was Wandoor beach.Wandoor is a small village situated at the southern tip of southern Andaman. It is approximately 25 kms away from the main city of Port Blair. As we started leaving behind the cityscapes,we soon divulged into the transparent waters of Wandoor. One can spend quality time here, watching the gentle waves touch the shoreline and fleet away.
Despite being one of the popular tourist destinations,a sense of calmness and tranquility will make an everlasting impact upon the mind. Haunting trees at the coastline, finched by the Tsunami creates a canvas worth holding on to; and the blue water is enough to take your mind away from the dull regular life.To quench your thirst one may sip cool coconut water available at the beach. If you wish to do some shopping, there are few shops present near the beach.
when we were fatigued,we dived into some local sea fish easily found in the restaurants en route to Wandoor. If you are experimental and keen on knowing the exotic sea food, one must try it.It is delicious and mouth watering.
Gazing at the blue pristine waters and coconut trees, adorning the place with utmost natural beauty, one tends to miss less the internet a little less. The only strong connection you will find here is the connection with nature.
Our next stop was munda pahar also known as the Black mountains. The beach is prohibited from swimming because of the special guests (crocodile alert!).It took 1 hour for us to arrive at Munda pahar.
The beauty of this place is you can easily find a place to relax and let the cool breeze welcome you to this blue heaven.Submerged coral appear to proliferate the place along with its awesome collection of birds. This island is inhabited by 46 species of birds, making it an obvious heaven for bird lovers as well as adventure enthusiasts. For the travel bug in you,you can also indulge in trekking, fishing, bird watching or simply bask in the sun while walking with naked feet on the warm white sand.
There are limited shops near the beach.Perhaps it is the secret to its divine landscape.Although coconut is there for the rescue along with overpriced chips.Luckily you can get ice cream here too.
Chidiya tapu, this place made a deep impact on my mind with the ephemeral beauty of the setting sun. After a whole day of travelling, watching the sun slowly intertwining with the ceaseless sea is one of the memorable sunsets I ever came across.
As our car was timidly moving out of this unforgettable sight,I whispered a silent prayer to the one in the sky to never let any modernism destroy this paradise.
A kind request to all the travelers to never throw any garbage near the place.Respect the place you have been to.
with this, ends the second day of our explorations.Let’s see what tomorrow holds for us.
